Poet of Mourning Collapse

Poet of Mourning Collapse is a Relic Set that feels like a double-edged sword—it offers something great but at the cost of another equally valuable stat. Personally, I find it a bit underwhelming.

To start, the 2-piece effect gives a slight boost to the character’s Quantum DMG. However, the real draw of this set lies in its 4-piece effect, which grants an enormous increase in CRIT Rate, either +20% or +32% (also applying to Memosprites, the pets of Remembrance characters). Needless to say, this is an incredible benefit.

If that were all, this set would be a staple for many characters. However, it comes with a significant downside. Firstly, the 4-piece effect reduces Speed by 8%, a stat that is universally valuable in Honkai Star Rail. More importantly, the CRIT Rate boost only applies if the character has low Speed, effectively making this a set that rewards slower characters.

This means that many characters, if they have certain buffs, Speed substats on their relics, or Speed boosts from their traces, will lose that juicy CRIT Rate. To get the +32% CRIT Rate bonus, a character can’t exceed 94 Speed, which is quite low. I find it frustrating to have to manage this limitation, even for naturally slower characters. That said, it seems this set could work well with "Tribbie," a character coming in version 3.1.
