"Flames Afar" is a 4-star Light Cone for characters of the Destruction introduced in version 2.0 of Honkai Star Rail, and it is a rather niche weapon as only a few characters can make good use of it.

This is because for a character to fully leverage it, they must have a mechanic that allows them to reduce their own maximum HP by 25% (as is the case with Blade). Otherwise, we would be relying on enemies landing hits capable of dealing that amount of damage, which is not ideal when depending on chance.

While the Light Cone provides a significant Damage bonus, one aspect I find unfavorable is that the effect lasts for 2 turns but can only be activated every 3 turns. This implies a significant reduction in damage output.

If you're wondering whether it could be useful for Arlan, unfortunately, I must tell you it is not, as he doesn't reduce his health as much, and therefore, won't trigger the damage bonus.
