The Widsith is without a doubt one of the best Catalysts in Genshin Impact, something very commendable given that it's a 4-star weapon. However, this Catalyst is so good that it's at the level of the 5 stars and I would even say that it surpasses some of them (being generalists).
This is because it provides us with Crit DMG, a very valuable stat, and also has an amazing passive. This depends on the randomness, it'll give us Elemental DMG, ATK% or EM, but the thing is that it gives us very high values (especially in R5, it is very worth getting the maximum refinement).
It's especially recommended for those characters who make good use of any of the 3 random statistics provided by the weapon, since in that case the randomness of the weapon will not matter (whatever comes out, we'll get a lot of use out of it). Nahida, Yae Miko (in Dendro compositions) or Yanfei would be good examples of characters that can get a lot out of it (among many others, you have them below).
